Corporate & Social Responsibility

At Fire Prevention Works Ltd, we are focused on creating a positive impact on society while aligning with the company’s values and business practices. We are proud to support the Scottish Emergency Rescue Association (SERA), a charity founded by our Managing Director, Gary Bennett.

SERA was founded in 2007 and is run solely by volunteers in Edinburgh with the main purpose of empowering and equipping emergency services, in countries like Moldova, Ukraine, Romania and Serbia with crucial life saving equipment and training, recycling second hand fire equipment and donating this to fire services overseas alongside professional training.

SERA have developed an educational programme alongside the appliance, equipment and delivery programme where we work in schools and colleges in each country taking the message of home fire safety and road safety to the young people of each country in an attempt to prevent tragic events before they happen.

SERA consists of a team of volunteers with various skill sets from Firefighters, Police Officers, Paramedics, Mechanics, LGV Driving Instructors and Educational Specialists. Gary organises and leads every trip, however you’re more likely to find him in his fire kit amid the labour than taking any credit for what he has achieved.
